Jeffrey E. Barnhart, President and CEO

Jeffrey Barnhart, President, CEO and founder of Creative Marketing Alliance (CMA), has more than 30 years of experience developing and implementing strategic programs to help companies grow and achieve their strategic imperatives. Jeff has led the agency to 25 years of success, providing crucial guidance to organizations of all sizes and in various locations around the globe.
Jeff’s rich background includes the integration of sales and marketing through three company mergers at Philips Lighting, and the launch of one of the first energy-efficient, environmentally-beneficial lighting products in the U.S. market. He was also instrumental in launching the first program that advocated using new lighting technologies to reduce electricity demand—the precursor to the current Energy Star program.
An avid boater and fisherman, Jeff currently holds a Masters Captain’s License from the U.S. Coast Guard. An expert at navigating his way through challenging business climates, Jeff’s results-driven strategies have helped launch start-up businesses and associations, and provided sales growth and profit enhancement to small companies and established blue chips.

Jeff is a featured speaker and columnist on various marketing and communications topics. He has been named Small Business Person of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce of Princeton, NJ, and was appointed to the Small Business Council of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He was also named a regional finalist for Inc. magazine’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award and served on the editorial board of Mercer Business magazine. In 2011, Jeff was honored with Rider University’s Department of Communication and Journalism’s Alumni Achievement Award.
Jeff is also well-known in CMA’s surrounding areas for his community involvement. As a community leader who has previously served on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross of Central New Jersey and a two term president of the Central Jersey Regional Chapter of the American Diabetes Association, Jeff has inspired CMA employees to volunteer for various company-wide community programs.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Rider University and presently serves on the Rider University Communications Advisory Board.

Burt Lambert, Executive Vice President, CFO
Burt Lambert, CMA’ Executive Vice President and CFO, is responsible for all CMA financial operations, including the management of accounts payable and receivable as well as investment research and planning. He oversees contract compliance of all CMA client accounts, as well as the company’s overall operations.
Burt’s impressive career spans over 25 years in financial and operations positions with CMA, as well as Fortune 500 companies including Merrill Lynch and General Motors. In addition to his professional expertise, Burt has substantial aviation training and applies the vital attention to detail required to fly planes to the financial aspects of CMA and to all of the businesses with which we have an opportunity to work.

With over 20 years at CMA, Burt plays an integral role in the success of CMA and its clients, with an attention to detail and thoroughness that have proven to be vital assets in all aspects of daily business operations.
Prior to CMA, Burt worked with Merrill Lynch/Pierce, Fenner & Smith of Lawrenceville, NJ, where he served as a financial consultant responsible for overall business development and investment/financial planning for over 400 accounts valued over $10 million. In addition, he supervised manufacturing operations, managed varied aspects of human resources, and spearheaded troubleshooting and systems implementation at General Motors Corporation in Trenton, NJ.
Burt earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rider University. He is also a member of the International Association for Financial Planning, the American Management Association, and the American Association of Individual Investors.

Erin Higgins, Director of Marketing Services

Erin oversees marketing services including account management, the creative studio and public relations. She is a major client communications conduit and is an important bridge between strategic marketing objectives and the execution of all client projects.
Throughout her career, Erin has amassed a substantial knowledge base of graphic design techniques and practices. She has an exemplary agency background—including providing marketing support for a Manhattan-based fashion company and a New Jersey advertising firm.
A true testament to Erin’s strategic vision, she has been responsible for a total revamping of CMA’s marketing approach. Because of her initiative, the company upgraded its entire image portfolio package, increasing visibility for the CMA brand in the marketplace.

While serving as a major client communications conduit, Erin coordinates large-scale projects with an unmatched ability to multitask, making her a vital asset to each account team she leads.
A self-proclaimed golf aficionado, Erin knows a thing or two about the importance of staying a few inches ahead of the competition. Erin believes the strategies learned through playing golf have helped keep her up to par in her business life as well.
Erin earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a concentration in business and professional speech and a minor in marketing and advertising from Rider University. Erin currently serves on the Board of the New Jersey Communications, Advertising and Marketing Association (NJ CAMA) as their Vice President and Astras Chair.

David Sherwood
Dave is responsible for the agency’s conceptual development and design execution for all facets of marketing communications, sales materials and brand identity programs. He has been driving the designs and graphic identities of CMA clients almost from the agency’s inception, providing award-winning creative and art direction for clients in a variety of industries. In over two decades, Dave has excelled at mastering various design operating systems and changing marketing techniques.

Dave has won numerous awards for his design efforts from industry professional organizations including New Jersey Advertising Club, the New Jersey Communications, Advertising and Marketing Association, the Jersey Shore Advertising and Public Relations Association and the International Association of Business Communicators.
A passionate sports fan and participator, David’s strengths outside of his professional life enable him to contribute to the design and implementation of creative programs that are on target with client expectations.
David graduated from Kean University in New Jersey with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Professional Level Design Studies.

Christian Horn
With two decades of communications experience in agency and corporate settings, Christian is a versatile concept/copy strategist who writes for a variety of business-to-business and consumer clients. Christian persuasively communicates on-message deliverables, creating bolder branding and stronger positioning.
Christian effectively takes on marketing challenges by accurately conveying client messages across all communications materials. Clients who review his work will quickly note that his style is one that effectively blends creativity with strategic messaging. He applies his expertise across a wide variety of clients ranging from electronics and professional services to healthcare and energy solutions.

A theater enthusiast and author of several regional theater and off-Broadway plays, Christian applies this interest towards his writing skills and zest for creativity in the workplace, providing clients with attention-getting concepts and copy that yield successful campaigns.

Matthew Kulcsar

Matt is responsible for programming, designing and revising websites and optimizing them as lead generators and brand awareness tools for a variety of clients. He is Google Ad Words-certified and proficient in SEO, SEM and social media development practices.
Matt has over 13 years of professional experience in web-based marketing design and development. He has developed content managed websites, e-blasts, single-page websites and other interactive displays.
By combining his artistic ability with a wealth of programming experience, Matt continues to stay on the cutting edge of interactive design. He is highly skilled in various operating system platforms and software.

Matt sharpened his interactive and design skills in several prior senior interactive developer positions. Outside of the office, Matt is an avid photographer, having won several awards from some of the industry’s most prestigious organizations for his work.
He holds a B.S. in computer science and a minor in fine arts from the University of South Carolina, Coastal. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Communications, Advertising and Marketing Association (NJ CAMA) as Technology Chair.

Kelly McKelvey
Kelly manages marketing, advertising and interactive projects and serves as the main liaison for CMA clients to ensure goals are met on time, on target and on budget.
Kelly oversees the progress of CMA projects—from the concept stage until the finished product is delivered to the client. Combining her creative talents and customer service experience, Kelly is able to provide effective solutions and communicate clients’ needs to the CMA team.

Kelly gained experience working with an international trade association where she handled event management and marketing communications including direct mail, brochures and website content. Prior to working for the trade association, Kelly served as Development Manager for the New Jersey Foundation for Aging, handling all fundraising and marketing efforts, as well as the production of a statewide magazine geared toward issues important to baby boomers.
Outside of the office, Kelly is an avid photographer. She strives to obtain the perfect shot through patience and dedication, which she applies to her career in order to achieve client goals.
Kelly graduated from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and International Relations.
Public Relations
Kaitlin Friedmann

Kaitlin leads all CMA and client media strategy and communications, as well as the overall management of the public relations team.
Through strong verbal and written communications such as press releases and feature articles, Kaitlin raises awareness for company brands and entire industries. Kaitlin and her team act as valuable media liaisons to enhance the perception of clients in specific industries and among the general public. She additionally manages client media events and all social media strategy and content development.

Kaitlin’s diverse background of strategic planning, direct media outreach, and event management make her a valuable asset to the CMA public relations department. She has made numerous successful matches between clients and reporters by keeping a finger on the pulse of the media and creatively suggesting angles that increase media attention.
In addition to “acing” the clients’ media goals in the office, Kaitlin, an avid tennis player, has been tearing up the competition on the courts all her life as well. The game of tennis offers lessons of give and take, sportsmanship and the drive to succeed, which Kaitlin often applies to the everyday tasks in her career.
Prior to CMA, Kaitlin previously worked for two major PR firms based in New York City. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University and completed courses on the inner-workings of non-profit organizations from the Foundation Center in New York City.
Strategy
Ian Singer
Ian drives forward the strategic processes clients need to achieve growth. He develops new client relationships through direct outreach, and helps clients determine the right strategy before launching the implementation of their marketing tactics.
Ian leads CMA’s proprietary strategic marketing process, MarketectureTM, helping clients navigate industry trends, market forces and competitive situations. He has developed business-to-business and business-to-consumer branding and direct response campaigns for clients in a variety of industries.
Given his proven track record with some of the most well-known companies both domestically and internationally, Ian works closely with clients to convert strategic direction into action.

Ian has an extensive marketing background having developed business-to-business and business-to-consumer branding and direct response campaigns for both small and large scale companies such as Ascentive, LLC, Edison Worldwide and Comcast Corporation, Inc.
Outside of the office, Ian enjoys playing golf. The patience and attention to detail he has obtained from playing this intricate sport is a great asset when it comes to setting client strategies.
Ian received his Bachelor of Science with a concentration in mass marketing and advertising from West Virginia University.
